The new Rotary year has just started and we are excited to announce that applications for committee positions in the Med Board are open. Join the team and be a part of our amazing adventure and development!
At the closing of the official part of the e-Medicon, we introduced the newly elected Board members that will be leading the Med MDIO in 2020/2021. Let’s revise who they are and what kind of help they will be needing.
International Service Committee

Mohamed Shalaby, International Service Coordinator, believes one can not get through a single day without having an impact on the world. “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. Join the team and let’s make a positive impact on The Mediterranean,” he invites. Within the International Service Committee, he is looking for:
MED Actions Collaborator: Do you like international activity or have already took part in some? Are you motivated to develop actions around the topics MedLove, MedNature and MedCulture within The Med? This position is for you!
MPF Collaborator: The Med Peace Forum is the heart of the Medicon. Do you have experience in organising conferences and finding great speakers? Help us prepare our event of the year!
Award Collaborator: Help us highlight the best projects done within the year from all the countries of the Mediterranean Rotaract. For this position, it is important to be organised and have experience in project selection.
IT Committee

“In our committee, we create magic using simply computers and IT systems,”reveals Maryem Sehli, The Med’s new IT Coordinator. “Unity is strength … When there are teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved!” Join her in doing computer magic by applying for one of the following positions:
Website Collaborator: Do you have skills in design and website hosting? Do you like our website and see ways to further develop it? Then this job is for you!
MedShop Designer Collaborator: We are about to launch our brand new MedShop! Do you have skills to design goodies in order to have them produced or printed? Come and be a part of the visual branding of the Med Team!
MedShop Supply Collaborator: Are you full of of ideas and can coordinate the goodies-making to organise their distribution in events? The visual branding within the Med Team might just be for you.
Videomaker Collaborator: Do you have skills in videomaking and editing? Do you like all things international and are keen on promoting what goes on in the Mediterranean area in the best way possible? Come help us!

Facebook Collaborator: Do you love social media and Facebook in particular? Help us being active by posting on this platform! In connection with the content team and the graphic team, the goal will be to monitor and prepare posts, manage the community and help the team find the best way to communicate and connect Rotaractors through Facebook.
Instagram Collaborator: Are you a fan of Instagram? In connection with the content team and the graphic team, the goal will be to monitor and prepare posts, manage the community and help the team find the best way to communicate and connect Rotaractors through Facebook.
LinkedIn Collaborator: Do you spend a lot of time on LinkedIn? In connection with the content team and the graphic team, the goal will be to monitor and prepare posts, manage the community and help the team find the best way to communicate and connect Rotaractors through Facebook.
Content Manager: Do you all the latest news regarding Rotaract and Rotary? Are you creative and like look for new content? Help us gather the best information and prepare the best content that comes from all over The Mediterranean. Your goal is to be creative and on the lookout for stories about Rotaractors, clubs, services, and everything else that deserves attention on the Rotaract Mediterranean channels.
Graphic Designer : Are you skilled in graphic design and working with Photoshop and/or Illustrator and/or Canva and/or graphic software? Do you like the branding of Mediterranean Rotaract and are willing to be involved in its continuous development? Participate by creating visuals for our projects and posts on social media.
Other Committee Positions
The MED Times, Rotaract Mediterranean’s blog, gives readers an insight into the different Mediterranean cultures; it keeps you updated with challenges and projects of regional as well as global interest and aims to develop a networking alternative between Rotaractors. Through telling stories and reporting on memorable moments, we exchange ideas and strengthen ties between our MDIO’s districts and clubs. MED Times Journalist: Are you a talented writer, aspiring or already experienced journalist? If writing articles about interesting projects, inspiring people, various subjects and cultural particularities sounds like fun to you, do not hesitate to apply for the posittion of Journalist with The MED Times!

Attached to the General Secretary, Ala Abdesslam, and close to the Executive Board, the Secretary Collaborator will be offer support to make sure all the subjects within Rotaract Mediterranean are covered and followed. Ala underlines: “Welcome in one of the core of Rotaract Mediterranean. In this position, it is important to have someone who takes responsibility very seriously and pays their maximum attention to every detail of our work.“
